"Boyhood", Film Terbaik Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Ke-20

LOS ANGELES, KOMPAS.com - Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) mengumumkan  pemenang Critics’ Choice Movie Awards ke-20, yang disiarkan langsung dari Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, California, AS, Kamis (15/1/2015) pukul 21.00 waktu setempat.

Dalam acara yang dipandu mantan atlet football dari AS, Michael Strahan ini, film drama Boyhood dinyatakan keluar sebagai pemenang Best Pictures.

Selain menggenggam penghargaan bergengsi tersebut, Boyhood juga berhasil menambah koleksi penghargaan untuk kategori Best Supporting Actress untuk Patricia Arquette, Best Young Actor/Actress untuk Ellar Coltrane, dan Best Director untuk Richard Linklater di ajang yang sama.

Tak kalah ketinggalan, film komedi satir Birdman sukses memborong tujuh penghargaan Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, yaitu Best Actor untuk Michael Keaton; Best Acting Ensemble; Best Original Screenplay untuk Alejandro G Inarritu, Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris Jr, dan Armando Bo; Best Cinematography untuk Emmanuel Lubezki; Best Editing untuk Douglas Crise dan Stephen Mirrione; Best Actor in a Comedy untuk Michael Keaton; dan Best Score untuk Antonio Sanchez.

Artis peran Michael Keaton menjadi orang pertama di ajang Critics’ Choice Movie Awards dalam 20 tahun terakhir yang memenangi tiga penghargaan sekaligus, yaitu Best Actor, Best Actor in a Comedy, dan bagian dari Best Ensemble untuk film Birdman.

Sedangkan film komedi The Grand Budapest Hotel yang juga diunggulkan, berhasil mengoleksi tiga penghargaan, yaitu Best Comedy, Best Art Direction untuk Adam Stockhausen (Production Designer) dan Anna Pinnock (Set Director), dan Best Costume Design untuk Milena Canonero.
